About this event
Experience one of Lake Murray’s most remarkable natural events during the Purple Martin Sunset Cruise aboard the Spirit of Lake Murray. This evening cruise offers a front-row seat to watch thousands of purple martins gather at sunset, creating a spectacular sight over the water.
Boarding begins at 6:00 PM, with cruising from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM. Cruises run on multiple dates between June 25 and September 4, 2026, departing from the Spirit of Lake Murray Marina.
Guests can relax and enjoy scenic lake views while watching the birds gather for the evening. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on board, and seating is first come, first served.
Advance reservations are recommended as space is limited, with tickets starting at $71 per person.
