Coming to Trustus Theatre, Robert Askins’ The Squirrels is a sharp, dark satire that utilizes anthropomorphic rodents to dissect the complexities of greed, inequality, and tribalism. The story follows a fierce, and often violent, struggle for survival and resources between the affluent Gray Squirrels and the starving Fox Squirrels.
In this unique production, actors lean into the animalistic, frequently appearing with tails and fur while utilizing a vocabulary of chitters and squeaks to convey raw emotion. Tickets on sale now!
