FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP: "Business Structure Basics for Minnesota Artists" @ Zoom (Springboard for the Arts)

Learn the basics of choosing a business structure for your creative practice in this virtual workshop from Springboard for the Arts and its Minnesota Lawyers for the Arts (MnLA) program. Attorney Ben Abraham will introduce common business models available to Minnesota artists, from LLCs to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, including how to prepare and the potential benefits and risks of different structures. The workshop is presented in partnership with Hennepin County Library as part of Work of Art+, a series complementing Springboard’s Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists professional development curriculum. INSTRUCTOR: Ben Abraham (he/him), an attorney with Greenberg, Smith & Abraham, P.A., whose practice includes corporate counseling, business litigation, commercial real estate, and entertainment law. He also volunteers with Minnesota Lawyers for the Arts and Springboard for the Arts.
