From Lake Region Arts Council

Experience an evening of original music and storytelling with Chuck Suchy, North Dakota’s Official State Troubadour, in the Cultural Center’s intimate listening-room-style gallery. A folk musician, songwriter, and working farmer from Mandan, North Dakota, Suchy draws inspiration from the people, landscapes, history, and everyday experiences of the Great Plains. His songs explore prairie life, farming, family, and the stories connecting generations to the land. Over his career, Suchy has released eight studio albums and performed at venues including the Kennedy Center and on A Prairie Home Companion. He was named North Dakota’s Centennial Troubadour in 1989 and became the state’s first official State Troubadour in 2005. A cash bar and snacks will be available during the evening. ACCESSIBILITY: Construction is underway at the Cultural Center, but an accessible entrance will remain available. Contact 218-385-3339 with accessibility requests or questions.
