Big Day at Bethel Spring Nature Preserve

Celebrate October Big Day 2026 with the Land Trust of North Alabama! On Saturday, October 10, join birders across the world as you observe, record, and appreciate birds at Bethel Spring Nature Preserve. Drop in from 7 AM – 11 AM to sit, stroll, or hike and catalogue birds using eBird. In 2025, over 2 million eBird checklists were submitted globally on October Big Day, and we want to make that number even bigger. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair of ours for the morning. Be sure to have your Merlin ID and eBird apps downloaded and ready to record.
