Foraging Hike at Bethel Spring Nature Preserve

(Moderately difficult / 2 hours) Join forager, Casey Lanier, to hike along the beautiful Bethel Spring Nature Preserve trails to learn about the edible plants and mushrooms found on the preserve. A FEW NOTES: This hike is educational, so if you’re looking for a walk with no long stops to talk, it’s probably not what you’re looking for. The hike is scheduled to last 2 hours, but it may run long. This hike around the preserve is not intended for collection or consumption of species, but more to better identify the amazing plants and fungi we have in North Alabama. Location: Bethel Spring Nature Preserve, 2641 Cherry Tree Rd, New Hope, AL 35760 The exact route for this hike will be determined the day of the event.
