Hike at Green Mountain Nature Preserve South

(Moderate / Around 2 hours / 2.1 miles) This hike, along Green Mountain’s Alum Hollow Trail, will take hikers to Alum Falls and the rock shelter nearby, two scenic spots on the preserve. The overhang served as a shelter for native residents and travelers over this area’s human history. The trail is relatively easy, with the exception of a steep hill leading down to the waterfall and shelter at the half-way point.
