2027 Summer Institute: Flax to Fabric – July Learn how to process flax into fabric by hand, beginning in the field and progressing through every stage of preparing, spinning, dyeing, and weaving the fibers. The workshop begins with pulling flax in the field and continues through each stage of preparing and working with the fibers. Participants will learn how to: Each participant will receive a drop spindle to take home and continue practicing after the workshop. All other materials and equipment are also included. Landis Valley Museum Master Instructors Joe Schott and Tina Mickley will guide participants through every step. Registration for this special workshop is limited.
