Register for free at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/next-gen-brattleboro-launch-tickets-2001894333842?aff=ebdsoporgprofile Next Gen Brattleboro welcomes Keynote Speaker Kevin Chu of The Vermont Futures Project. He will speak about the economic and housing landscape across Vermont, zooming in on Windham County specifically, and making the data-based case for why an initiative like Next Gen Brattleboro matters now. In addition, come hear from Next Gen Brattleboro community leaders about what’s already happening and what’s ahead. At this launch event, we’ll introduce the initiative’s workplan: – Recruiting additional working-age households to the area (“802 by 2032”) – Creating more housing across a range of incomes – Building a magnetic cultural community where people feel excitement and belonging. And there will be an opportunity to learn about: – Catalytic projects that can be leveraged and invested in for maximum impact, – Funding strategies that will make it all happen. Next Gen Brattleboro is a civic alliance of organizations, businesses, community leaders, and residents committed to Brattleboro’s long-term economic and community vitality and to building a broad movement to make Brattleboro a vibrant and affordable community for the next generation. Brattleboro is home to an extraordinary concentration of culture, creativity, and community – but our long-term economic stability depends on bringing more working-age households into the area, expanding housing across income levels, and building on what already makes this town magnetic. Next Gen Brattleboro is a collaborative, multi-pronged effort to do exactly that.
