About this event
One of 73 upcoming events at Lenox Library, and 588 across the Berkshires.
Join us for a free screening of No Country for Mothers, a documentary exploring the culture wars surrounding American motherhood and why both the “girl boss” and “trad wife” labels ultimately distract us from the real issue: the lack of support for American families. Following activist Reshma Saujani, the film charts a growing national movement to reunite moms across divisions and win the kind of historic support families actually need. After the screening, share in an honest conversation led by mothers: Nannina Gilder, film researcher and screenwriter Leah Mansback, a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, and maternal mental health. She supports women through pregnancy, the postpartum period, and the transition into motherhood. Before entering private practice, Leah worked at Montefiore in the Bronx with mothers and young children to support and increase their attachment to one another. Leah is level one trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and uses this and a trauma focused lens with her clients. Molly Rivest, DNP, FNP, a doctorally prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive expertise in women’s health. She is the founder of BodyWise Health Collaborative, a private practice located in Pittsfield, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based care for women of all ages. Molly specializes in addressing sensitive and frequently overlooked areas of care, including sexual health, contraceptive management, perimenopausal care, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Stephanie Storie, a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula The culture wars have divided us — this is how we come back together.
