Its mission is to enrich people’s lives, boost their well-being, cultivate their rhythmic abilities, foster social connections, and generate cherished, optimistic recollections. 7:15 PM – Quimikoz QUIMIKOZ is a Latino cumbia-fusion band based in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, delivering a high-energy, barrio-forward sound rooted in tradition and reimagined for today’s audiences. Blending vallenato-style accordion melodies with Afro-Cuban cumbia rhythms, reggae grooves, hip-hop influences, and a dynamic horn ensemble, QUIMIKOZ creates an authentic experience that honors the culture of the barrio while connecting with crowds on any stage. Formed in 2009, QUIMIKOZ has performed at major festivals and cultural events including SXSW as official artists for two consecutive years, Texas Rangers cultural events, Michelada Fest Forth Worth, Cumbia Nights at Sundance Square, and other established community celebrations. Their 2013 album QUIMIKOZ 1.0 features fan favorites “Llegó La Negra” and “Cumbia Caguamera,” while their 2023 single “Un Dos Tres!” introduced the band to a new generation of listeners. Their song “Llegó La Negra” is featured in the Amazon Prime series Sin Huellas, expanding QUIMIKOZ’s reach beyond the stage. From club venues and large outdoor festivals to private and corporate events, QUIMIKOZ brings rhythm, culture, and infectious energy to every performance.
