The short story is a powerful medium of storytelling.This workshop will explore how to get started on writing the short story– thinking through inspirations, exploring ways of writing compelling short story beginnings, and focussing on how to draw the reader in as you move the story forward from the beginning to the end. This is a free drop in class offered at the Portland Book Festival. All attendees must acquire a wristband before entering the class venue. Space is limited.
