Join us for a book signing and artist talk with Gary Tyler at the Shepherd on September 30, 2026 from 6-8pm. Library Street Collective in partnership with the Michigan Justice Fund is excited to welcome Gary Tyler back to Detroit for a conversation celebrating the release of his memoir, Stitching Freedom. Moderated by Michigan Justice Fund Executive Director Ashley Carter, the evening will explore Tyler’s life, artistic practice, and decades-long commitment to art as a means of reflection and transformation. The conversation will be followed by a book signing.
