The Midnight Purchase has become a staple in the Milwaukee music scene, with 5 consecutive years (2020-2025) of nominations, including 2 wins in Milwaukee’s Shepherd Express city-wide “Best of Milwaukee” awards 2021 through 2025. Boasting stellar guitar riffs and mellow rotary organ undertones along with Orlando Peña’s heartfelt, but often screaming lyricism, allows The Midnight Purchase to fall between genres, bridging the not-so-wide gap separating folk and Americana from rock and roll.
