Louise spent many years in Boston, where she became a protégé of the late master vocalist Rebecca Parris, who mentored and co-produced her first two albums of original compositions and reimagined standards from the Great American songbook. Her dual life as scientist and artist may inform her thoughtful approach to both music and lyrics. Back in the Netherlands, where she continues her career in cancer biotech, she has found wonderful new jazz collaborators in pianist Rob van Bavel and his band, with whom she recorded her latest album Crazy World of Love (March 2026). The album has garnered praise from US and Dutch reviewers for its blend of heart, skill, and adventurous choices. For this special NYC performance, Louise is honored to be joined by jazz luminaries Cameron Brown (bass), Will Gorman (piano), and Tony Jefferson (drums), bringing songs from Crazy World of Love to life in an intimate evening of song and storytelling.
