Expressions of Peace Juried Exhibition Opening (LELA International)

Expressions of Peace Juried ExhibitionLELA International will hold the Expression of Peace exhibition at the Los Angeles Makery Gallery in Los Angeles. This will be concurrent with a separate 47th annual exhibition commemorating the atomic bombing of Nagasaki/Hiroshima, Japan, to be held at the Nagasaki Prefecture Museum of Art. Please see the separate 'Nagasaki 8.9' call for entries. LELA holds an annual commemorative exhibition in Nagasaki, now in its 47th year. Expression of Peace will be juried by the LELA Jury Committee. Our mission is to oppose war and offer communication and a shared desire for peace to all people and all countries. LELA warmly invites artists to participate and exhibit with us in August at the Los Angeles Makery. We encourage you to carefully review the instructions provided and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Entry fee is $38 for paid LELA members, $48 for non-paid members. Artists may submit up to 3 images consistent with the theme ?Expression of Peace? for consideration. All media will be considered except video. Maximum size for artwork is 36 inches in all dimensions. Please note that all work must be delivered by artists or their representative to the Gallery on Saturday August 1st between the hours of 12 pm and 1 pm. We have no facilities for accepting shipped work, nor can we return work that is not picked up. We welcome artists from outside the SoCal area, as long as pickup and return have been pre-arranged.
