Stop by M. Judson for a free pop up with author Perrin White and her new book, Leona Learns to Breathe! ABOUT THE BOOK: In this gentle and meaningful story, Leona the Lion sets out on a journey to find her roar. Along the way, she meets kind and caring friends who remind her to slow down, breathe deeply, and keep going, even when it feels hard. Because sometimes, the strength we’re searching for has been inside us all along … we just need a little help to find it. And step by step, breath by breath … Leona does just that. Leona Learns to Breathe is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that teaches children of all ages how to connect with their breath, body, and inner courage! Local author, Perrin White, was inspired deeply by the loss of her daughter, Leona, and wrote this book as a celebration of curiosity, healing, and the power of believing that you can. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Perrin White is a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Orofacial Myologist, Registered Yoga Teacher and Breath Coach. Her work centers on bridging both her professional training and personal experiences to help clients breathe and be well. Through listening to her own body and seeking answers, Perrin was able to successfully support her sleep-disordered breathing, airway issues, and tongue tie. She navigated hard lessons, both earned and learned, to help utilize what her younger self and current self needs to stay healthy. This is her guiding force for all that she pursues personally, professionally, and spiritually. Perrin is also mother to Leona and a diva dachshund named Vanna. She lives in Greenville, South Carolina.
