Saving Lives Through Early Detection: The Future of Technology in Esophageal Care This fascinating discussion features two experts from Lucid Diagnostics who are helping lead a new era in preventive medicine. Ashley has dedicated her career to expanding access to innovative screening technologies that identify patients at risk before symptoms appear. She’ll explain how molecular diagnostics are helping physicians intervene earlier—and why that changes everything. Jill Vaughn, a registered nurse with extensive experience in intensive care, surgery, healthcare administration, and clinical leadership, will share how her journey led her from treating critically ill patients to helping prevent disease before it starts. Her perspective offers a powerful look at why early detection is one of the greatest opportunities in modern medicine. During this engaging conversation, you’ll learn: • Why esophageal cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers to diagnose early. • How advances in DNA science are creating entirely new screening possibilities. • What healthcare professionals are doing to improve patient outcomes through earlier intervention. • Why prevention is becoming one of the biggest innovations in medicine. This isn’t just a lecture—it’s a conversation. Science Café brings researchers, healthcare professionals, students, and community members together to explore the discoveries shaping our future in a welcoming and informal setting. Whether you’re passionate about science, interested in healthcare, or simply enjoy learning something new, you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for how innovation is changing lives long before disease takes hold.
