Join Sara Johnson, Preservation/Restoration Specialist, and Joe Mester, Assistant Site Director, at the recently restored Brattonsville Female Seminary to learn about the process of bringing the 1840 schoolhouse back to life. Originally the log house of Martha and Colonel William Bratton, likely built in the 1760s, the house changed form and use around 1839 when the Brattonsville Female Seminary was established to educate the seven daughters of Harriet and John S. Bratton. The tour will also include an opportunity to go up the winding stairs to see spaces rarely accessed by visitors. A Q&A will follow, and light refreshments will be served. Tickets
