Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Historical Center of York County with the Directors of Collections and Archives. This unique experience allows guests to get a tour of the Historical Center’s public search room as well as collections and archives. Guests will be able to see rarely exhibited items up close, while also learning about how CHM’s collection is processed and cared for. A Q&A will follow, and light refreshments will be served. Please Note: · No food or drink is allowed beyond the Historical Center’s lobby. · No purses/bags/backpacks are allowed beyond the Historical Center’s lobby. Free lockers are available for those who do not wish to leave their bags in their vehicle. · Some of the storage rooms are cold; guests may want a sweater if they get cold easily. · Photography in secure collections and archives storage is prohibited.
