Gelatin printing is a form of monotype printing. Instructor and artist Bonnie Faulkner will teach you how to create beautiful prints without a press using botanicals from the Shaker Herb Garden as well as shapes you make in class. The process is simple, versatile and addictive. This workshop is a more intermediate class where you’ll learn how to think ahead with layers to create more planned and intentional imagery. The workshop is well suited for professional or novice printmakers, craft enthusiasts, or anyone with a desire to try it! All materials will be provided along with a recipe for making your own gel plate at home. In the afternoon, if you wish, you’ll create a simple book structure with your new garden prints. Max class size: 8 Did you know that current members of The Friends of the Shakers receive $5 off each workshop? Sign up or renew today for your discount!
