CJ Solar is announcing his new project, CJ Solar & the Old Souls, with a brand new record releasing later this year. He will be debuting some of the new music slated for that release in this show! Long time friend & collaborator, Rick Huckaby, will open the show. Huck is a veteran singer-songwriter whose credits include hits for Thomas Rhett “Beer with Jesus”, Trace Adkins “Muddy Water”, Tracy Lawrence, Craig Morgan, Frankie Ballard, Gov’t Mule and others. You can regularly see Huck playing with his Nashville based blues band, Big Shoes. A night full of soulful country not to be missed! About CJ Solar ‍CJ Solar was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He moved to Nashville, TN in 2010 to attend Belmont University and has been there ever since. As a songwriter, CJ has co-written two #1 hits - “Up Down” recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Florida Georgia Line and “Some Girls” recorded by Jameson Rodgers. He received the NSAI Award in 2019 for “Top 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” for “Up Down” and was nominated for Music Row’s Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year. His songs have, also, been recorded by Jason Aldean, Jerrod Niemann, Justin Moore, and others. His own single, “Airplane” was named by Rolling Stone Country as one of the “10 Best Country & Americana Songs of the Week” and in 2022, CJ was among 5 in Nashville nominated for AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers) Rising Artist-Writer of the Year. As an artist, CJ was named Music Row’s Independent Artist of the Year in 2019.  He has played the Grand Ole Opry twice and has opened for Gary Allan, Chris Janson, Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd and others on the road. He is consistently releasing new music and working on a new project for release in early 2026. Rick Huckaby ‍Rick Huckaby, know as "Huck", was born in Baton Rouge as the son of the legendary basketball coach, Rick Huckabay Sr, (Rick took the silent “a” out at the end of his last name as not to confuse the pronunciation) who previously coached at LSU. He is a Nashville singer, songwriter, and guitarist.  His sound is unlike anyone in country music, combining influences as rare as Daryl Hall, Bonnie Raitt, Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap and Keith Whitley.  Huck moved to Nashville in 1996 and in 1998 landed a dream gig as the acoustic guitar player for the country music superstar Tracy Lawrence.  He currently performs around the country and has recently played some shows with Zach Top on tour.  As a songwriter, he has written t...
