From Marmo

Before flowers were shipped all over the world, you had to do some tricky things to have blooms in the winter. Learn the classic art of forcing bulbs, and you’ll always have something beautiful to enjoy during the long dark months of winter. We’ll learn about all the different bulbs you can bloom in the winter, as well as some of the history and science behind this endeavor. You’ll leave this class with a beautiful potted bulb composition and knowledge about how to grow bulbs indoors during the winter months. Classes will be held at Marmo (217 W Cota St, Shelton, WA 98584). Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets Available Here A Year in Bloom is a program led by Megan Homewood from House Flowers. Every month, Megan will lead a class where you can explore each flower species through an immersive workshop, using unique varieties of locally grown blooms. Ample time to design with flowers of your choice. Floral history and cultivation tips. Arranging notes and design guidance.
