About this event
One of 10 upcoming events at Mary Riley Styles Public Library, and 4,165 across Washington.
Dr. Ashley Templer and Brian Leos present the science behind common musculoskeletal conditions ignited or exacerbated by the loss of estrogen and other hormonal changes all women experience. In recent years, have your joints started to ache? Have you experienced a frozen shoulder or do you have hip pain when you walk? Come learn why these and other injuries are common for women not only during the years leading up to menopause, but throughout and beyond menopause as well. The presenters will discuss how hormones impact our bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and fat -- and will share evidence-based recommendations on how to manage these conditions for years to come. They will also highlight the importance of strength training. To register for this program, please scroll down and click on the blue "Register" box.
