George Lorio: Concerns - Public Reception

Concerns presents George Lorio’s sculptures, which use social engagement to spark dialogue around ecological loss, particularly deforestation and climate decline. While the works may initially suggest a trompe l’œil quality, their intent is not illusion but to draw viewers into deeper reflection. Through abstracted interpretations of trees, stumps, and logs, Lorio explores cycles of growth, decay, and renewal observed in nature.
