Sarah Presley: Silver Spark, Lucky Star

Sarah Presley creates a conversation between grief and the idea of home in Silver Spark, Lucky Star. This collection features motifs of residential architecture reminiscent of the small town Presley grew up in, and one she often returns to in her work. Through bright colors, family photographs and vintage papers, Presley evokes memories of home. The etchings and collages, however, frequently lack subjects, leaving them specific to no one and emphasizing the empty, unobtainable feeling of nostalgia.
