The Southern Recreation and Leisure Services Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County, is proud to announce the return of the Summer Concerts at Cosca series! This beloved summer tradition has become a favorite among the county’s annual performing arts events. This year’s performances – featuring R&B, reggae, soul, funk, go-go, and more – highlight local talent and bring the community together for an evening of great music, fun, and relaxation. Concerts are FREE, and all ages are welcome! Performers Sponsors FAQs Performers Thursday June 18, 2026, 6-8 pm Celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Month Nu30X Caribbean Soul Nu30X Caribbean Soul Experience delivers high-energy live performances blending reggae, R&B, funk-rock, Afrobeat, pop, hip-hop, Creole, and jazz. Fronted by powerhouse vocalists Micheline Reid (“Haitian Barbie”) and Dana Parker (“The R&B Rocka”), the band brings dynamic vocals, infectious rhythms, and engaging stage presence that keep audiences dancing. Perfect for festivals, concerts, and special events, Nu30X creates a vibrant, feel-good experience that leaves lasting impressions. Thursday, July 9, 2026, 6-8 pm Moved to John Addison Concert Hall at the Harmony Hall Regional Center. Band of Roses Band of Roses is a powerhouse all-female ensemble known for delivering a high-energy fusion of jazz, soul, funk, and R&B. Originally assembled in 2012 for a one-time performance, overwhelming audience demand led to the group’s official relaunch in 2015. Since then, Band of Roses has grown into one of the DMV’s most sought-after live bands, earning a reputation for exceptional musicianship, commanding vocals, and an electrifying stage presence. Thursday, July 23, 2026, 6-8 pm Faycez U Know Faycez U Know is a high-energy soul and funk band from the Washington, D.C., (DMV) area, blending classic showmanship with the unmistakable groove of go-go. Known for their dynamic performances and versatile sound, they’ve shared the stage with artists like Method Man, Fantasia, Chuck Brown, and Raheem DeVaughn. A Faycez U Know show is an electrifying experience that keeps audiences moving from start to finish. Thursday, August 13, 2026, 6-8 pm The Tribe Band The Tribe Band was formed in the early 2010s by drummer and percussionist Larry Darnell Simpson, debuting with their gospel CD Trouble Don’t Last Always. With the addition of Stanley Johnson and Johnny Matthews, the group expanded its sound to include a wide range of styles—from gospel and blues to smooth jazz, funk, R&B, soul, Motown, Southern soul, and neo-soul. Known for their versatility and crowd-pleasing performances, The Tribe Band delivers a dynamic musical experience that blends classic and contemporary sounds. Thursday, August 27, 2026, 6-8 pm Another Day Band Another Day Band is a dynamic, DMV-based group blending old-school funk with modern R&B and neo-soul. Known for high-energy performances and rich vocals, they deliver crowd-pleasing sets spanning artists from Marvin Gaye to Maxwell—bringing “The best of smooth jazz, hot R&B, and neo-soul” to every stage. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, a blanket, or something to sit on, along with something to create shade such as a covered chair. We recommend wearing hats, cool clothing, and bringing fans to beat the heat. Don’t forget sunscreen! Is smoking permitted since the event is outdoors? No, smoking is not permitted. All outdoor parks in Prince George’s County with the Department of Parks and Recreation are smoke-free to promote a healthy environment for everyone. You can read more about it here. Can I bring a pet? Pets are not allowed at the concerts. Registered service animals, however, are permitted. Are these concerts accessible? All events will have accessibly parking (with proper state-issued vehicle credentials). Can I bring my own food? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own cooler with drinks and food. You will also be able to purchase food from a food truck vendor. Guests are encouraged to bring water, especially on hot days! Will ATMs be available for cash withdrawal? No, ATMs are not available on-site. Is this event suitable for children? The music selection primarily appeals to the 50+ community, but all are welcome to attend. Where is the Lost & Found? The Lost & Found will be located at the Info Tent near the restrooms.
