Tom Kenyon: Ronnie Spiewak, a Retrospective

Ronnie Spiewak, a Retrospective, curated by artist Tom Kenyon, honors the life and work of a prolific and deeply respected figure in the Prince George’s County arts community. Spiewak, who lived and created in the region for over 30 years, exhibited widely across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., earning numerous accolades throughout her career. She and Kenyon first exhibited together at Harmony Hall Arts Center in 1991 in a dual exhibition, marking the beginning of a lasting artistic connection. In her later years, Spiewak maintained a studio at Passageways Studios in Riverdale Park, Maryland, continuing her dedicated practice until her passing in 2024. This retrospective brings together a selection of her work spanning from the 1980s through 2022, celebrating her enduring legacy and the significant impact she made on the local arts landscape.
