Join Mead Botanical Garden’s Young Naturalist Explorers class, Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 9:30am to discover the world of dragonflies and damselflies! Hike through the wetlands to learn about their incredible “superpowers,” experiment with perching heights, decoys, and flight patterns, and create a journey stick using natural materials collected along the way. What to bring? Water, binoculars, blanket/chair, closed-toe shoes/boots, and of course your sense of curiosity. Topic: Fun with Odonates Instructor: Marcia Anderson Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 Class Check-In: 9:15 A.M. Class Start Time: 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. Location: Discovery B arn, Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S. Denning Drive Winter Park, FL (See Map Here) Cost: $10 + eventbrite fees *We recommend ages 5-12, but the family is welcome to tag along!
