About this event
One of 40 upcoming events at Civic Center Music Hall, and 627 across Oklahoma City.
Enigmas of Life brings together music that explores identity, spirit, and human connection. Under the direction of guest conductor Laura Jackson, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents a program that moves from bold energy to deep introspection. Pianist Jon Nakamatsu takes the stage for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, a work full of brilliance, humor, and unmistakable confidence. The evening closes with Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a powerful and personal portrait of friendship, with each variation revealing a different character and story. Opening the program is Stacy Garrop’s Goddess Triptych, a striking work inspired by myth and feminine strength, setting the tone for a night that feels both timeless and deeply human.
