Join the waitlist September 28–November 23, 2026 9 weeks, Mondays Taught by: Joan Nichols Learn to paint expressively with beautiful, bright colors in this Beginner Modern Impressionist class! Joan will guide you through the French Impressionists’ four-step process, using acrylics instead of oil paints. Explore color mixing, the differences between transparent and opaque paint, draw charcoal, quick sketches, create under-paintings, learn to “re-establish the line,” and complete your piece with opaque paints. You’ll transform from art newbie into mini-Monet while painting simple landscapes and lush florals! Materials Students need to purchase materials for this class. See the materials lists for further information. Registration Information Registration for this program starts on Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members.
