Introduction to Painting (40F26)

Join the waitlist September 15–November 17, 2026 10 weeks, Tuesdays Taught by: Joan Nichols In this class you will learn the basics of painting with both watercolors and acrylic paint. This will include how to mix color, how to ‘build a painting’ and how to use your brush in both mediums. You will complete a variety of painting exercises in preparation of painting a still life and landscape. Materials Students need to purchase materials for this class. Registration Information Registration for this program starts on Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Sunday, September 13, at 1:30 pm. Programs with inadequate enrollment are canceled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
