About this event
One of 8 upcoming events at Metro Library, and 638 across Oklahoma City.
The Downtown Metropolitan Library invites you to take part in a meaningful community tradition as we create a shared ofrenda (altar) for Día de Muertos—a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. This special exhibit will transform the first floor circulation display into a space for reflection, healing, and cultural connection from October 15 through November 5. Be part of the ofrenda. Share their story. We welcome community members to contribute a photo of someone they wish to remember. Each image becomes part of a collective tribute that celebrates the lives and legacies of those we hold dear. Ways to participate: Submit a digital photo using our online form Bring a printed photo to the library Complete a short submission form (available online or in person) to share a few words about your loved one Together, we create a living remembrance—one that reflects the strength, love, and diversity of our community. Stop by, take a moment of reflection, and experience the beauty of this shared tradition.
