About this event

Family Friendly

@ Find us in the Little Haiti community at Little Haiti Book Festival! History comes to your neighborhood! Our In-Community programs bring the museum beyond its walls and into community spaces, offering hands-on activities for families and all ages. Participants can explore history through interactive art making activities and engage with objects from the Museum’s education teaching collection. Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, these programs invite families to learn together, connect with local stories, and experience history in fun, accessible ways right where they live. ALL DAY LAND & SEA DISCOVERY LAB: Exploring Miami’s Coast Through Science and History Through hands-on experiments and interactive exploration, Frost Science and HistoryMiami Museum invite families to discover how both nature and human activity shape coastal communities. At the Little Haiti Book Festival on May 3, Frost Science will demonstrate how waves, coral reefs, trees, and seawalls help protect shorelines through its Constructive Coastlines activity. At the same time, HistoryMiami will explore how Miami and Caribbean communities developed along the coast, highlighting the ways land and sea have influenced culture, settlement, and daily life. Together, science and history come alive in the Science Room from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. About Little Haiti Book Festival: Miami Book Fair and Sosyete Koukouy are proud to present the 2026 Little Haiti Book Festival!
