@ Apollo 11: The First Manned Lunar Landing Wednesday, Sept 2nd 7:30 PM EST (Doors open at 6:30) $10 per Person: non-members FREE: Museum members with registration Join us as Greg Brown, Museum Historian at the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, presents the story of the historic Apollo 11 mission, the first successful crewed landing on the Moon and a defining achievement of the Space Race. This program explores the mission’s background, introduces the crew, and follows the major phases of the flight from launch to lunar landing and safe return. Highlighting the development of critical spacecraft, including the powerful Saturn V rocket, and featuring a rich collection of photos and diagrams, Brown reveals the remarkable engineering and human effort behind one of history’s greatest accomplishments.
