Purple Up Kids Night at the Museum 💜 Military kids serve too. When a parent or loved one is deployed, they carry the weight of that sacrifice every single day. At the Mid America Veterans Museum, we want them to know they are seen, appreciated, and supported. Join us for Purple Up Kids Night at the Museum, a special evening created just for families with a loved one currently deployed. During this event, families are invited to explore the museum together and experience the powerful stories of those who have served our nation. While visiting, kids will have the opportunity to sit down and write a personal letter to their deployed loved one. The museum will provide everything needed to make their message special, including paper, envelopes, pencils, markers, and crayons. Whether it’s a drawing, a heartfelt note, or simply a message of love, these letters can become a meaningful connection across the miles. This event is designed to be relaxed and family-friendly, so guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. At the Mid America Veterans Museum, we believe in honoring not only those who serve, but also the families who stand behind them. We hope this evening gives military kids a chance to feel proud, supported, and connected. Admission is free; donations are always welcome.
