Community Conservation Day

Community Conservation Day on Saturday, October 24th at the Deltaville Branch from 9 AM to 2 PM! This event brings together fourteen conservation and outdoor recreation organizations across Mathews and Middlesex who will provide information and instruction on everything from oyster growing to gardening to forestry, a free tree giveaway, and much more! Participating organizations include Tidewater Oyster Growers Association, the Virginia Department of Forestry, Friends of Dragon Run, Middle Peninsula Master Naturalists, and many more. Each will have a space or booth where the public can learn more about what they offer, how it helps our area, and how people can help. The event is organized by Virginia Cooperative Extension and York River Steward.
