The Pop-Up Vegetable Garden

Saturday, April 18; 10am–5pm CT Build a garden of delicious-looking, dimensional paper vegetables. Fresh produce may not return to Minneapolis until June, but these pop-up vegetables are coming in early spring! Join Chicago-based artist Shawn Sheehy in building and binding a handful of colorful, representational structures using a simple set of hand tools and a kit of pre-cut pieces. You’ll gain insights into paper engineering and paper sculpture while assembling the pop-ups. MCBA's Visiting Artist Program is generously supported by Cathy Ryan & Doris Engibous  Level: Beginner. All levels are welcome. Certificate: 7 hours, Category C or D Pricing $252 | $126 Scholarship | $378 Pay-It-Forward $85 materials fee Scholarships are available for individuals facing adversity as it relates to identity, income/wealth, and lack of access to arts resources. The Pay-It-Forward rate (tuition, plus 50%) supports MCBA’s efforts to make scholarships available.
