🏺 Family Discovery Day: International Archaeology Day 📅 Saturday, October 17 ⏰ 11:00am–4:00pm 📍 Minnesota Discovery Center 💸 FREE Admission Join us for a free day of family fun as we celebrate International Archaeology Day at the Minnesota Discovery Center, featuring a FREE screening of Dora and the Lost City of Gold and hands-on archaeology activities for all ages! From 11:00am–2:00pm, enjoy archaeology activity stations in Taconite Square designed for explorers of all ages: 🥽 Experience the science of archaeology through VR technology 🪣 Sift for buried artifacts at a dig station 🍽️ Piece together broken plates like a real archaeologist 🪨 Learn about flintknapping 🏹 Try your hand at throwing an atlatl at a (cutout) bison Then, from 2:00-3:45pm, head to our theater for a FREE screening of Dora and the Lost City of Gold! Follow Dora and her friends on an adventure to save her parents and uncover the mystery of a lost Incan civilization. 🍿 Popcorn will be available for purchase for just $1 per bag. Whether you’re a budding archaeologist or simply looking for a fun family outing, there’s something for everyone to discover. Come explore, experiment, and uncover the past—one discovery at a time!
