Paddle & Pints π When: September 19, 2026 | 2:00β4:30pm π Where: MDC and the Glen Mine Pit Lake π² Cost: $40 πββοΈ Participants: 21+ only, limited to 10 people π Registration: Click here! Experience an unforgettable evening on the turquoise waters of Glen Mine Pit Lake. Join Gary Kaunonen, MDCβs Education, Program, and Recreation Manager and Staff Historical Archaeologist, for a guided paddle before relaxing with drinks, a build-your-own charcuterie board, and, weather permitting, a lakeside bonfire. Your registration includes: β Kayak and life jacket rental β Guided one-hour paddle and shuttle transportation β Beer, wine, seltzers, and charcuterie snacks (two drink max) Please bring: β’ Valid photo ID β’ Optional: your own life jacket Important Information: β’ Outside alcohol is not permitted. β’ Participants must use MDC kayaks; personal watercraft cannot be accommodated. β’ Non-alcoholic options will be available when possible. β’ Please notify us in advance of any gluten-free dietary needs. β’ Please bring layers of clothing and note that the red dirt does stain. β’ Wear appropriate footwear that you donβt mind getting wet or red.
