The Montclair History Center has been awarded the 2026 Innovative Archives Award by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) New Jersey Caucus in recognition of its leadership in preserving and sharing local history. The award highlights the organization’s commitment to inclusive storytelling, strong community partnerships and collaborations, oral history initiatives, and expanding free public access to MHC’s collections. MARAC’s selection committee congratulates Executive Director Angelica Diggs, Collections Manager Erin Benz, and the Board of Trustees for their dedication to preserving and sharing Montclair’s diverse history.
