About Lightning Horse: In this acclaimed book, readers are invited to dive into the wonderful tale of two mustangs, Lightning and Smoke. Having bonded at a young age, it is only natural that they set out on their own for the first time. Young readers will love coming along for the ride as the two mustangs grow, explore, and learn the ways of the wild—braving snakes, storms, and so much more! Author: Ava Brown lives on a ranch in California with her family. When she isn’t writing or reading, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She has a deep passion for horses—enjoying both riding and equestrian vaulting—which heavily inspired her new book! As an eager learner, Ava is always curious about the world around her and cares deeply about protecting the planet and its ecosystems.
