Sur La Table Cooking Class: Date Night – Autumn Steakhouse

Escape to a cozy steakhouse for an evening built around fall’s best flavors. You and your date will learn to sear an NY strip to a perfect crust, then build a rich bourbon-shallot pan sauce and a compound butter from scratch to finish it. Alongside, you’ll roast sweet potatoes tossed in a smoky bacon vinaigrette and shave Brussels sprouts into a bright salad with shallots and toasted pine nuts. To close the night, bake a warm apple crumble with cinnamon ice cream melting over the top. Every course is made by you and shared together, so grab your date and warm up the kitchen.
