Andrew Mowbray: New Heraldic Ordinaries

Reception: Saturday, October 17, 3-5pm Artist Talk: Wednesday, November 14, 11-12pm Mowbray uses Tyvek Home Wrap as the primary material in the construction of 2d works reminiscent of quilts and samplers, using Tyvek’s limited palette to create a diverse array of patterns and compositions. In a new series created for the Schlosberg Gallery, Mowbray uses this material in the construction of personal crests or heraldics as a commentary on economic and class inequality.
