About this event
Join Open AIR Artist-in-Residence Sarah McMurry for aFabric dyeing workshopThis workshop will cover indigo dyeing using an iron indigo vat, where we will learn how to dye fabric various shades of blue. Through historic folding methods called Shibori, we will learn how to create patterns on the cloth. If people have smaller items they would like over-dyed, there will be an opportunity to dye them as well. The vat used in this workshop will remain at OpenAIR for community use.REGISTER NOWAbout the Artist: Sarah McMurry is a fiber artist living in Columbia, MO, with a BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute.
