RAICES Y RITMOS – Roots and Rhythms

Step into the stories, flavors, and rhythms that have shaped Southwest Florida! Raíces y Ritmos invites guests to experience the rich cultural connections between the Indigenous peoples of the region and the Cuban ranchos that later became part of Southwest Florida’s coastal history. The evening begins with a guided tour of Mound House, exploring the stories of the Indigenous communities who lived along these shores and the Cuban fishing ranchos that played an important role in the region’s history. Guests will then experience the lively traditions of a salsa dance lesson, followed by a delicious dinner inspired by the cultures and flavors that continue to connect our communities. Through history, movement, music, and food, Raíces y Ritmos celebrates the diverse roots of Southwest Florida and the stories that continue to connect us today.
