One of 11 upcoming events at Mountain Top Historical Society.
Painters of all ages and skills are invited to come to the beautiful Mountain Top Historical Society campus for a day of plein air painting. The campus features a pond, woodlands, historic buildings, a red barn, and ice age erratic rocks. Artists are asked to bring their own supplies and set up. There will be a children’s table with watercolor palettes and brushes. At 2 p.m. there will be a showing of all the paintings in the historic 1913 U & D Train Station. Of special note: as part of this day devoted to artistic expression in the Catskills, at 11:00 a.m., the final Greene County celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary War will take place in the Train Station.
