Shadow Dance returns -- with a twist. Tickets: here Join us at Mountain View Studio for an intimate evening of deep and expansive inner work. This potent offering begins with an opening circle, moving into a guided body scan and somatic exploration incorporating elements of parts work and IFS. We gently transition into a dynamic dance set with music that invites introspection and connection to the shadow — the unconscious, rejected, repressed, or hidden parts of the self. Participants are encouraged to wear blindfolds or simply close the eyes while moving freely and intuitively to the music in a dimly lit room, with live vocals and instrumentals woven throughout the dance set. To close, enjoy a soothing sound bath followed by an integration circle with optional sharing. Please bring your own blindfold and water bottle. Testimonials from past participants: "It was powerful. It provoked a lot and the provocations continue to unfold in beautiful ways some days later." "It was both challenging and nourishing for me. It brought me to a part of me that needed to be seen." "The music itself was one of the highlights. At a certain point I wasn't sure what was live and from the speakers. A great way to design the sound in the space. It was clearly thought out and supported the curiosity of stepping into the unknown and darkness." About the Facilitators: Malerie Day is a somatic therapist and singer-songwriter exploring the meeting place of healing, creativity, and the human spirit. Her therapeutic work draws on parts work, attachment, and nervous system awareness to support deeper connection with self and body. Through original folk songs, vocal improvisation, and healing sound, she creates spaces for presence, expression, and reconnection with the wisdom within. Sophia Bruun is a multidisciplinary healing arts facilitator, DJ and event producer guided by the intention to cultivate consciousness, coherence, and connection through her work. Her offerings draw inspiration from an extensive background in meditation, yoga, sound healing, ecstatic dance production, and international travel. Sophia takes a heart-centered approach to catalyzing transformation through each container that she holds. Tal Arad is a multi-instrumentalist and sound facilitator who brings people together and promotes peace through music. Alongside bansuri flute and harmonica, Tal plays a variety of instruments from around the world bringing a grounded sensitivity to healing spaces for connection and emotional release.
