About Carl Stoveland Carl Stoveland is an artist and photographer living and working in Lake Worth Beach. Carl is a founding Member of the Lake Worth Beach Urban Sketchers group and was 2020 Artist in residence at Dry Tortugas National Park where he and another artist lived off the grid entirely creating art and photography for the entire month of September. One of Carl’s previous projects was the photo documentary exhibits IAMLAKEWORTH and IAMLAKEWORTHTOO that were displayed at the Hatch in 2018 and 2019. Carl was managing partner at Gallery Meraki in Garnerville, NY from 2014 to 2016 where he exhibited his own work as well as taught workshops in Photography and Photoshop. His current passions are watercolor and acrylic painting and Urban Sketching. Carl grew up in New York near the Catskill Mountains and found his passion for photography and painting hiking along the many trails and streams near his home. His dad spent his entire career working in photo labs and his mom is an oil painter and watercolorist. So the apple didn’t fall far from the tree!
