About this event

Outdoors

With early access to Mt. Cuba’s tranquil setting, immerse yourself in a restorative sound bath that gently harmonizes mind, body, and environment. While focusing on resonant tones of singing bowls, also notice the garden’s living soundscape: birds calling, leaves rustling, and subtle natural rhythms that deepen a sense of calm and presence. Research suggests that sound-based relaxation practices can support the body’s natural relaxation response, helping to ease stress, lower heart rate, and quiet the mind. Time spent immersed in nature has similarly been shown to enhance mood, reduce anxiety, and foster a sense of connection and clarity. This experience thoughtfully weaves these two practices together, offering a unique opportunity to unwind, reset, and deepen your connection with the natural world. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, grounding, or quiet renewal, we invite you to this quiet dialogue between you, intentional sound, and the natural world. After class, enjoy your own unique experience exploring our gardens and natural lands, with garden admission included. This program takes place in-person at Mt. Cuba Center Two Sundays: 5/3 and 5/10 (Rain Date: Sunday, May 17). About the Instructor: Liana Thompson completed the Vibration Sound Therapy Certified Practitioner training with the Vibrational Sound Association in 2019. Her passion is in helping others gently address stress and emotional trauma using the healing sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls.
